Apple Podcasts Tip: Purposefully Customize Your Show Background

Apple-podcast-backgrounds

When you go to the Apple Podcasts App, perhaps you’ve noticed that the background color of your show artwork is now customized, that is, if you are using IOS 14.5 or later.

What you may not know is that there is a specific part of the artwork you upload that dictates what that background color will be. Look approximately half way down your artwork and on the left, a few pixels in. That’s the color Apple appears to choose.

I wondered what the trigger was and after looking at the artwork from many many shows, it became clear that the left side of the artwork was said trigger. Now when you design artwork for a new show or update for your current show, you can consciously think about what you want that background color to be.

Just one of our nice little podcast tips!
