Q & A with Heather from Fresh Eats Radio

When did you start podcasting?

I just recently released my podcast Fresh Eats Radio this June. It’s been such a blast every step of the way.

Why did you start podcasting?

Honestly, I had never considered podcasting until listening to Jessica Kupferman’s webinar promoting her Podcasting School for Women.

I had really thought that I didn’t have what it takes to be a podcaster. Thinking back I think my biggest fear was that I wouldn’t have enough to say to entertain.

But once I started to realize how easy it can be, and how fun, I started to get really excited about the opportunity to reach a larger audience and connect with other females who have the same passion and desires that I have.

The whole process has me fired up… I absolutely love connecting with others in my industry… I no longer am in my own little world of blogging. The community is amazing!

What’s your show about?

My show is about helping other females uncover the challenges of eating healthy as a busy mom, wife, and entrepreneur.

I interview today’s most knowledgeable & fascinating ladies in the health & wellness industry on how to get in more fresh, whole foods to look good & feel good.

Topics include anything from balancing our roles as mom, wife, and business owner to dealing with cravings, picky eaters, and loving our body.

It covers the whole range and includes inspiration, super practical tips, and healthy recipes.

What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.

I’m continuing to grow into my setup. I learn more as I get further into it. Currently,  I use my MacBook Air, Shure Mic, GarageBand, Skype, and eCamm Call Recorder.

How have you promoted your podcast?

I have been promoting my podcast with iTunes, Twitter, my email list, my website, Facebook Groups (like She Podcasts), and also by contacting those I know who are interested directly.

The support and excitement I have received has been phenomenal.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?

Hmmm, honestly, I can’t say there is…only because I have been trained by another successful podcaster in her school, Podcasting School for Women.

Having the support there has truly made every step of the way surprisingly simple and loads of fun!!!

All of us can continue to learn how to eat better, especially from people that are “like us.” Listening to Fresh Eats will give you a little bit of time to take care of yourself – so if it floats your boat subscribe.
