When did you start podcasting?
My first podcast was on August 23, 2007. It was about NFL quarterback Michael Vick involvement with dog fighting.
Why did you start podcasting?
The original reason why I started podcasting was to provide a platform for Black Canadian men to express their views on subjects that were important to them and subjects that they don’t get asked about.
The Dr. Vibe Show™ now is a platform that provides conversations and information for Black men and those who love around the world.
What is your show about?
The Dr. Vibe Show™ takes the approach that knowledge is color and gender blind. So, if someone has information that is on positive value for Black men and those who love them, we want them on the show!!
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
I use a Windows Quad Core computer (sorry I ain’t rich enough for an Apple machine yet …), my microphone is a Rode NT1-A microphone with a Rode SM6 Shock Mount with a pop-filter, my mixer is a Behringer Xenyx X1204USB mixer and a use Audacity to edit my podcasts.
How have you promoted your podcast?
I have promoted my show via social media, email and in person wherever I get the opportunity. Also, my show is the only online show that is featured on a regular basis at The Good Men Project which gets 20 million page views and 3 million unique visitors a month.
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
How podcasting has increased my knowledge of people around the world.
If you are interested in Dr. Vibe’s work you really do need to subscribe or at least hook up with him on Twitter or Facebook. Also, Dr. Vibe will be hosting quite a few podcasts for The Good Men Project’s Social Justice section and for the Black Life Coaches Network.
