Q & A with The Just-Us Show
When did you start podcasting?
We started our podcast Tuesday November 10th.
Why did you start podcasting?
Our podcast now consists of three members Vonn, Ant and myself (Woody) but it really originated years ago in the early 2000’s as “shop talk” and consists of many members of current and former US Air Force aircraft mechanics or friends and family.
What’s your show about?
The Just-Us Show is spearheaded by sports, mainly the NFL and the NBA but we are sports junkies so we also discuss boxing, MMA, NCAA football, NCAA basketball, MLB and the NHL.
Our passion is also in the world of Hip-Hop music as well as Television shows and movies. Since two of us are retired veterans we also follow military issues and current events.
We strive to be a well-rounded variety podcast with a foundation of sports and entertainment.
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
Our podcast setup is very basic consisting of a MacBook Pro and 2 Blue Snowball USB microphones. The software is GarageBand and iTunes. I do all the editing and posting (by no means am I an expert on multimedia production, but it’s so easy even I can do it).
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
Honestly as corny as it may sound and although we’ve been only doing this for a short time I wish I would have known just how fun and addicting podcasting really is.
Also with the resources of Libsyn it’s such a great experience.
