Q & A with Jessica Kupferman from Lady Business Radio

When did you start podcasting?

I just started podcasting in the beginning of May, but before that I was doing video interview shows.

Why did you start podcasting?

I wanted to switch to audio and get it out into an audience because I think there a lot of women entrepreneurs who are…well, they’re basically working on their own all day, in a bubble. I wanted to be a friend on the phone, so to speak.

What’s your show about?

Lady Business Radio is about issues that women face during entrepreneurship – the business and success, yes but also the fear, the semantics, the relationships, the family management – every aspect we are dealing with on a day to day basis.

What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.

Currently I am using a MacBook Pro, 2011, with Skype and Garage Band, Libsyn.

How have you promoted your podcast?

I’m strongly connected on Facebook with business groups of women, so I just started telling them about the show. I also tweet about it before and after each episode and send a weekly email letting my email list know about it.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?

I definitely wish I had known people don’t care about listening to podcasts live. I really love doing live shows – and no one else was doing it so I thought I was a genius. Turns out there’s just no market for it.

Are you or do you know a woman entrepreneur that wants to connect with community? Are you interested in knowing about the personal side of business through down to earth, candid and funny conversation? Then you really must subscribe to Lady Business Radio!

Jess would love it if you listened and then headed over to iTunes and gave her a rating or review. She’d be really appreciative!
